About the Event
We will use the following practices to help us more fully enter into the scripture.
1. Lectio: Settling & Shimmering—Listening for words and phrases that capture our attention.
2. Meditation: Savoring & Stirring—Savoring the words and phrases that caught our attention using our senses.
3. Oration: Summoning & Serving—Hearing what the passage invites us to do as individuals and as a community.
4. Contemplation: Slowing & Stilling—Moving into a time of silent prayer and gratitude for what has arisen.
5. Midrash: Finding & Writing—Exploring and writing about the gaps, silences, and missing voices in the stories using Midrash and Ignatian bible study methods.
