November 21, 1947 - May 7, 2025
Sharon S. Goodwin, a cherished member of the Hickory community, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at home. Originally from Sandy Springs, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, Sharon had made Hickory her home since 1999, where she built a rich and fulfilling life surrounded by friends, family, and faith.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles James “Jim” Goodwin, DDS. She is also survived by her children: Tracey Edge Durham (Darrell), Kelley Edge Davis (Thadd), Kristin Edge Frierson (Paul), Wendy Goodwin Flynn (Chris). Charles James “Casey” Goodwin (Caitlin). Grandchildren: Courtney Sams (Caleb), Charles “Caldwell” Hunt, Evelyn Isabel “Izzy” Davis, Charles Goodwin, and Dylan Goodwin. Great-granddaughter: Lillian Jane “Lily” Sams.
