Loving Each Other

All women of Ascension are invited to be members of Episcopal Church Women (ECW), a national organization of the Episcopal Church. Ascension's ECW is divided into smaller groups called circles, which meet at varying intervals throughout the year at restaurants or members' homes.  The Altar Guild and each ECW circle has a representative on Ascension's ECW Board, which meets monthly to plan events from church receptions to fundraisers.  The money that we raise is used to support our local parish as well as regional, national, and international ministries.  The ECW provides a wonderful opportunity for sisters in Christ to support each other in prayer and fellowship and to work toward common goals in our mission and ministry in the world.
Women's Circles The women of Ascension are welcomed to participate in Episcopal Church Women (ECW).  This group is made of many circles who meet monthly to plan service projects for the
community as well as special events for our church family.
Wednesday Night Parish Dinners

Wednesday night dinners are a great way to meet other parishioners and to get a feel for parish life here at Ascension.  We gather at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays from September through May for a delicious home-cooked meal and conversation.  Spiritual formation programs are offered at 7:00 p.m., and the Parish Choir rehearses at 7:00 p.m. Cost for dinner is $6 per person and $20 per family.

The first meal is our gift of welcome to you.

Menu for October 5:
Rosted Rosemary Pork Loin, Rosemary Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli, Salad, Rolls, Peach Cobbler
A vegetarian option will be available.
BreakFest Sunday Morning Breakfast is prepared and served by the Men's Group at 9:30 a.m. from September to May in the Parish Hall.  Come join us for breakfast and stay for conversation or spiritual formation classes.
Men's Group Ascension’s Men’s Group organizes breakfast for the parish on Sunday mornings and sponsors various activities for our Boy Scout Troop (726).  A weekly morning prayer group for men and evening “Theology on Tap” discussions provide wonderful opportunities for fellowship.
